About me
I graduated from The University of Nottingham in 2006 with a BSc in Applied Biology and have worked within the education sector ever since.
I undertook my teacher training in 2007 and completed a GTP with PGCE. My first position within a school was a post that saw me make the switch from teaching Science to Maths, and I've taught Maths since 2008. Over the years I've held various posts within schools, including KS4 Coordinator of Maths, Second in Department of Maths, and Head of Year. I have worked at different secondary schools within the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area.
I have a vast experience of working with Key stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students and have tailored maths content to suit a range of abilities and learning needs. I have experience in delivering AQA and OCR exam content to Key Stage 4 students.
At the end of 2022, I made the decision to move away from a traditional teaching role and pursue other interests including tutoring and intervention roles within schools. In addition to this, I have also undertaken some freelance work to keep up to date with current teaching and learning strategies and exam requirements for Maths.
